We recently awarded Artist Fellowships to two of our outstanding members Noah Hawes and Antwain Shaw-Huff. The Artist Fellowship program was created several years ago to support and encourage young artists who are seeking to have a future career in the arts. Artists who are selected for a fellowship will have the opportunity to showcase their talent on a regular basis while gaining experience in teaching their art form to others.
Noah Hawes, a senior at Withrow High School, is one of our selected artists who’s focus as a member has been in music production, rap performance and video production within our Studio E program. During Noah’s Fellowship he will be teaching music production to younger members who are experiencing beat making and recording for the first time.
Antwain Huff is a visual artists who is a senior at Aikon High School. Antwain joined Elementz as a member in 2016 and since then he has been a consistent participant within our visual arts program. Along the way he has gained experience by working closely with several of our visual arts teachers. Antwain will be facilitating weekly visual arts sessions with members on Thursdays here at Elementz.
Since joining Elementz both Noah and Antwain have seized every opportunity that we have put in front of them. From participating in the Art Academy’s portfolio camp this past Summer to trying out branding exercises with local design companies. We congratulate them both on being selected to be Fellows at Elementz. Stop by during our Artist Showcases to meet our Fellows and see what they have been doing with their creativity!
