ELEMENTZ INCREASES COMMUNITY IMPACT
Step up. Be present. Embrace leadership.
Elementz, the Cincinnati region’s Hip-Hop Cultural Arts organization, welcomes Damian Hoskins to the role of General Manager as a part of the organization’s mission to provide hope and catalyze change for the young people in the urban core through hip-hop culture. Hoskins will work with the organization’s executive leadership, board of directors and key stakeholders to advance the mission of the nearly twenty-year old arts organization and further position it as an organization of consequence throughout the region.
“It gives me immense pleasure to announce that Damian has joined our organization in the position of General Manager.” said Harold Howard, Board President of Elementz. “He’s the right person at the right time with many years of experience in leadership, which will be beneficial for the continued growth and expansion of Elementz. Damian also brings practicality to the position as he is a proponent of hip-hop culture and one who has experienced some of the things our young people experience first-hand. Damian can relate to our young people and to the community we serve on many different levels. We’re extremely grateful to have him in this role and on this journey.”
Tom Kent, Managing Director of Elementz, says that Elementz continues to expand its impact on the community, even during this COVID-19 period. “As an organization, Elementz has been able to successfully pivot and continue to provide creative and innovative programming that represents hip-hop culture and the voices and vision of our youth. From our online DJ Classes, to our Democracy and Z podcast on WVXU, to THRIVE and the production of our first ever Hip-Hop Orchestra, we have worked hard to represent the community by making necessary changes as we grow and move forward.”
